A-League football pre-season cup draw released

CLUB football returns to Australia later this month when the 2008 pre-season cup commences with the clash between the Perth Glory and Premiership winners Newcastle Jets.

Sydney FC will be looking for revenge against the Roar after being knocked out of last seasons finals series. The match will be played in Sydney’s west at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

The pre-season cup commences on 19 July, 2008.

Anzac invasion set to continue at Galatasaray

The West Ham Captain, who currently has two seasons left on his £60,000-a-week contract is now reported to be on the verge of a shock move to Turkey.

Harry Kewell signs with Turkish giants Galatasaray

SOCCEROO Harry Kewell has penned a two-year deal with Turkish giants Galatasaray after five injury marred years with Liverpool.

The Aussie international said that his decision was based on speaking with officials of the club and having seen the rise of both Turkish club and national team football in recent years.
