ADELAIDE UTD have gone down 2-0 in the 2nd leg of their Asian Champions League final match played at Hindmarsh stadium earlier tonight.

Gamba Striker Lucas scored twice in the first 15 minutes to make it 5-0 on aggregate and virtually end the tie.

In just the 4th minute, youngster Mark Birighitti filling in for keeper Galekovic failed to deal with a long strike from Hayato Sasaki which allowed Lucas to put away the scraps.

This took the steam out of Adelaide and silenced the 17,000-strong record crowd.

Lucas doubled his tally with a finely taken goal in the 15th-minute when he was sent through on goal.

A Cristiano strike was disallowed in the 27th-minute but this was the closest that Adelaide came to scoring of the 180-odd minutes over the two legs.

Gamba showed their class for the remainder of the match and virtually controlled the flow of the match while Adelaide struggled to give their fans something to cheer about.
