Celtic to play Melbourne. Or will it be Sydney FC?

Scottish Champions Celtic FC are said to be visiting Australia during the European off-season. They are slated to play either Melbourne Victory or Sydney FC during the month of July.

Channel 10 is expected to get the rights for the blockbuster and sources within expect Sydney FC to make it a double after playing LA Galaxy late last year.

The July clash could become even more tasty with talk from London that Harry Kewell will be joining Celtic from Liverpool at the season end. Kewell’s five-year contract expires at the end of this season and will be able to make the move on a free-transfer.

Melbourne’s own Scott McDonald would also make the trip down-under and would give the match another major attraction for Socceroo fans. McDonald has been on fire this season with the boot having scored 19 goals in all competitions
