Harry Kewell free transfer rumours heat up

Harry KewellAs the injury-hit Liverpool career of Harry Kewell appears to be drawing to a close, rumours are circulating about where the mercurial Socceroo may turn up next. There is of course the small matter of Liverpool’s crusade to possible Champions League glory for the player to contend with, and given that Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has a fondness for including Kewell in the big games, there may still be a few more run-outs for Harry for the Reds this season.

However, thoughts about where he may end up next season will be weighing on his mind, and given that Kewell has an English wife and young family, he may not be willing to move too far away from his current home.

One potential team that could offer him Champions League football and provide a home where other Socceroos have flourished is with Glasgow Celtic. The current Scottish champions have Australian marksman Scott McDonald as their top goal scorer and Mark Viduka has also played there. With the club looking for competition for their wide midfield players, Kewell may find the challenges of the Scottish game just what he needs to revive his career.

Another possible move for Kewell may to be to Italian giants Juventus with Socceroos midfielder Vince Grella, who lives in Turin, stating there has been a lot of press speculation in the local newspapers that manager Claudio Ranieri is interested in signing Kewell. Ranieri was employed at Chelsea for many years and will have seen Kewell at his peak so there may be some truth in this.

Wherever Harry ends up, the chance for a fresh start may be what he needs to overcome the injury troubles he has had and to get back to winning ways.

Well i think Harry Kewell will have the chance to participate in Champions League at Romanian league champion CFR Cluj. His experience will help the team in their first season in Champions League.
