The most successful club in Italian football have confirmed that they will bring their best players minus those involved in the up-coming Euro 2008. These players will have been called up to their national teams by that stage.

Juventus will be captained by World Cup Winner and super-star, Alessandro Del Piero. Other European stars expected to make the trip down-under include David Trézéguet, and Pavel Nedved.

Melbourne Victory Chairman Geoff Lord said: “It’s very exciting for Melbourne Victory to be hosting a blockbuster friendly at Telstra Dome against one of the world’s most successful and prestigious football club.

“We’re expecting a big Melbourne crowd to witness some of football’s international superstars in action and we’re sure that they’ll be treated to an entertaining match, which will truly highlight the round ball game as Australia’s international football code.

I am a Juventino since watching Michel Platini wore the no.10 shirt for the Old Lady. If any of you know when the team will be arriving at which hotel, please share this with me. It would be a dream come true to get a picture of Pavel Nedved signing on my red Czech Republic jersey which has his name and no. 11 on it. Cheers!
