Perth Glory cop 4-1 slapping against Central Coast Mariners

PERTH GLORY was smashed 4-1 against the Mariners earlier tonight in the A-League round 5 fixture at Bluetongue Stadium. Pressure will be starting to mount on coach Mitchell who has now conceded 34 goals in just 15 matches in charge.

Mark Bosnich only lasted 6 minutes before tearing his hamstring from a simple goalkick. This will probably spell the end of his A-League cameo on the Central Coast. The 36-year-old is rumoured to be heading to the USA to feature in a documentary.

The impressive performance from the Mariners was matched by the defensive lapses which allowed the Central Coast Mariners to win this match easily. Goals from Petrovksi, Caceres, Osman and a cracking free kick form Mile Jedinak rounded off the goals.

Sasho Petrovski scoredthe first goal of the game when he chipped the Glory keeper and easily slotting away after the initial shot rebounded off the upright.

Jedinak made it 2-0 in just the 29th minute with a 30 metre free kick which found the top right corner.
Caceres was allowed to make to his way to goal before unleashing a shot across the face of goal which hit the inside of the far post before going in.

Nikita Rukavytsya scrambled home his second of the season in the 63rd minute but Osman made it 4-1 one minute later with a one-two sucker punch.

Youth Keeper Andrew Redmayne made a dream debut when he replaced Bosnich. The Mariners confirmed that the hamstring of Bosnich had been torn but would have to undergo tests during next week.

The young keeper had to back for his second match of the evening after playing in the National Youth League opener earlier.
