Socceroos squad against China & Singapore


Socceroos international action continues this Saturday evening with a friendly against Singapore and the crucial world cup qualifying match against China four days later.

Pim Verbeek has named a mostly A-League & Olyroo squad for the first match against Singapore but that will most likely include Aussie super-star Harry Kewell.

    didn’t verbeek say that training with a european side was better than playing A league football, then why has he not included richard porta in his squad now that his forward line has been depleted against china in the world cup qualifier.

    He would be a great addition to the Socceroos World Cup Qualifying campaign but I think it might be too late. I heard that he had already been called up to the Uruguayan squad late last year against Sth Africa.

    Whether he got a cap or not I am unsure.

    Brings back memories of one hit wonder Max Vieri.
