SYDNEY FC have joined Adelaide and Melbourne at the top of the table by taking apart a 10-man Perth Glory 5-2 at the Sydney Football Stadium.

The match was decided by half-time as Sydney went into the break with the score at 4-1 after the Glory had no answer to the Aloisi-less Sydney FC attack.

Alex Brosque started the rout in just the third minute when he pounced on a poor pass in defence by David Tarka and easily putting away his shot past the helpless Juric.

Eugene Dadi put the Glory back on even terms in the 12th minute when he scored with his head from the 6-yard box. Kosmina would be unhappy with the way the defence let Dadi score with ease and unchallenged.

Things took a turn for the worse when Glory’s Adriano Pellegrino’s mistimed slide tackle on Corica in the 21st minute led to a penalty. Djulbic received a yellow card for complaining to the referee. A brain snap resulted in him recieving a straight red card when he kept up his protest.

Corica then stepped up to hit the penalty straight down the center to put Sydney FC 2-1 up.

From this point on Sydney didn’t need any encouragement as the demolition begun. Mark Bridge scored Sydney’s third when Brosque centered for him and Shannon Cole scored his second goal in as many weeks to make the score 4-1 to the light blues.

The second-half was a different story as Mitchell re-organised his defence and Sydney seemed content to sit back. The Glory even got a goal back when Colosimo pushed Dadi in the box when the ball was nowhere near him. Dadi stepped up to get his second of the game.

Marquee Aloisi was introduced into the game after 65 minutes and should have scored Sydney’s 5th goal when he shot straight at Juric from 7 yards out.

Sydney FC eventually got goal number five when ex-Sydney defender, Nikolai Topor-Stanley toe poked into his own netunder pressure from John Aloisi.

The only down-side for Sydney was the crowd attendance which was just under 12,000.
