Vidmar inducted into FFA Hall of Fame
Aurelio Vidmar has been named the 2008 inductee into the Hall of Champions at FFA’s Football Hall of Fame.
Vidmar’s playing career saw him appear twice in the old National Soccer League either side of stints with overseas clubs in Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain and Japan.
After returning to the NSL, Vidmar was part of the Adelaide United’s inaugural A-League squad, where he made 27 appearances before announcing his retirement as a player and becoming assistant coach at the club.
Vidmar played a total of 454 club games, scoring 126 goals. He also appeared 53 times and scored 18 goals for the Socceroos.
